New Walu Hakka Cultural Preservation Area Introduction
Hsinwa Cultural Preservation Area is an old settlement preservation area. In November 2006, the Hsinchu County Government allocated it to the Hakka Affairs Council for free. It combines with the Zhongxing Community and Hakka Drum Troupe, promoting traditional Hakka art activities. On one hand, from the perspective of cultural creativity and knowledge economy, it cultivates local cultural creative industries through traditional Hakka interpretations; on the other hand, regarding urban development, it serves not only as a recreational park green space but also enriches the city with diverse values, becoming a showcase of local characteristics in the Six Houses New Central District. In December 2010, the Cultural Assets Section of the Hsinchu County Cultural Bureau took over, continuing relevant activities while strengthening the participation mechanisms for local interaction to strive for a more diversified resource and operation model.
