Sanmao's Residence Introduction
Located fifty meters above the suspension bridge in Taoyuan Village, this is the former residence of the famous Taiwanese writer Sanmao. Sanmao once said, "Silence is the voice of nature; being alone is not lonely." Throughout her solitary life, Sanmao left behind a quiet house that is not lonely, along with countless literary works praising the beauty of springs, adding a beautiful chapter to this stunning mountainous area. Today, the "Sanmao Dream House" is filled with many historical materials and personal belongings from Sanmao’s life, as well as photographs provided by Father Ding Songqing featuring Sanmao during her lifetime. Standing in front of the red-brick house, one unconsciously reflects on the past, with thoughts drifting alongside Sanmao, feeling her enchanting sighs that linger in the interplay of time and space.
