Sanmao's Residence Introduction
Located fifty meters above the Diaoliao Bridge in Taoshan Village, this is the residence of the late renowned Taiwanese writer Sanmao. Sanmao once said, "Silence is the voice of nature; it is being alone but not lonely." Throughout her lonely life, Sanmao left behind a quiet house that was not lonely and countless literary works praising the beauty of clear springs, adding a beautiful story to this stunning mountain forest. Today, "Sanmao Dream House" is furnished with many historical materials from Sanmao's life and photographs taken with her, provided by Father Ding Songqing. Standing in front of the red-brick house, one unknowingly reflects on the past, thoughts drifting along with Sanmao, feeling her wistful sighs intertwined in the folds of time and space.
