Shaluliy Art Village Introduction
Follow the path, push open a wooden door, and slowly descend the log staircase to enter this artistic and mysterious space—welcome to Shalu Art Village! Located within the Baoshan Reservoir, the brick bungalows built during the Japanese colonial era face the lake, offering a unique view of natural beauty. The lush trees reflect on the lake's surface, and the gentle breeze stirs the water into ripples, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. This place is filled with an artistic ambiance; it not only provides a residency for artists to create but also offers the public a way to engage with art. On a leisurely afternoon, stroll through the art village, enjoy the lake view, sip a cup of rich coffee, and fully embrace the tranquility and modest beauty brought forth by the interaction of art and scenery. In addition to the water scenery and art, Shalu Art Village also features seasonally changing rural landscapes that are always fresh and new. In early winter, olives bear fruit; in spring, cherry blossoms flourish; in May, the tung flowers bloom, resembling white snow in the mountains; the yellow blossoms of the cassia tree in the intense summer are particularly endearing, while at the end of autumn, sweet pomelos and starfruits ripen, marking the changing seasons.
