Ten Thousand Buddha Cave Introduction
Wanfo An is a natural cave that has been a place for practitioners since before the Republic of China era. It was renovated in the second year of the Showa era (1917) and was renamed Wanfo An in the eighth year of the Showa era (1933). In 1982, it was completely demolished and rebuilt. The cave serves as a Buddhist hall, with natural spring water flowing beneath the Buddha altar, providing sweet and refreshing water that is particularly soothing. Another distinctive feature is the adorable collection of小沙彌 (shamans), whether they are welcoming guests or engaged in fetching water and sweeping, each one is very endearing.
