Bashan Mountain Nature Education Center Introduction

The Baxianshan Nature Education Center is located within the Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area in Taichung City, near the hot spring town of Guguan. This area was once one of Taiwan's three major logging sites and is rich in forestry history and diverse forest ecology. Today, this vast mountain area not only preserves the footprints of the past but has also become an ideal place for exploring nature, waiting for you to discover and experience it! As a base for promoting forest environmental education by the Forestry and Nature Conservation Bureau in central Taiwan, the Baxianshan Nature Education Center strives to promote forest management, ecological conservation, the transmission of local culture, and close cooperation with communities and indigenous partners. Here, through various courses, teachers, students, and the public can immerse themselves in the joy of learning, from the wonderful journey of "exploring" the forest to the sense of responsibility for "caring" for the Earth, and actively participating in environmental protection to contribute to the future of our planet.

Transportation Methods：[By Car] National Highway 1: National Highway 1 → National Highway 4 (toward Fengyuan, Dongshi) → left turn onto Taiwan Provincial Highway 3, heading toward Dongshi → after Dongshi Bridge, turn right onto Taiwan Provincial Highway 8, toward Guguan → go through He Ping → Taiwan Provincial Highway 8, 33K, turn right onto Duming Bridge → reach Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area. [Public Transportation] Take a Bus (Weekdays): Routes: Fengyuan Bus 153 (City Center - Guguan), 153 Sub (Taichung High-Speed Rail Station - Guguan), 207 (Fengyuan - Guguan), 266 (Dongshi - Guguan). How to Board: Take Fengyuan Bus toward Guguan from Taichung or Fengyuan, get off at Jiabao Station and walk about 1 kilometer to reach the toll station. After entering the park, walk along the forest road for about 5 kilometers to reach the Visitor Service Center. [Public Transportation] Take a Bus (Weekends): Route: Fengyuan Bus 269 (Guguan - Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area). Schedule: One bus in the morning and afternoon, Guguan (10:40, 14:20), Baxianshan (10:55, 14:35). Note: Get off at the toll station to buy a ticket, then continue to take the bus up the mountain.
