Shalu Bridge Introduction
It is said that the ancestors of the Atayal tribe originally lived by the Shaolai Creek valley in the Nanshi and Ziyou villages of Taichung City's Heping District. The chief of that tribe was named "Shaolai," and later, the name was used to designate the Shaolai Suspension Bridge due to the construction of several suspension bridges in the area.
