Hankeng Community Introduction
The Hankan Community, located in Xinpu Township, is a typical rural area. It gets its name "Hankan" due to its clayey and hard soil layer, which prevents rainwater from soaking in and has no water source. The main attractions in Hankan Community include: the century-old cool well, the Money Lending Earth God, the Stone Uncle, the Japanese Park, and the Charcoal Kiln. Besides the famous persimmons, water pears and citrus fruits are also well-known agricultural products in the area. In addition to supplying products such as dried persimmons, persimmon cakes, and persimmon frost, the community also offers industry and ecological tours, persimmon dyeing DIY, outdoor educational program planning, and experiences such as persimmon dyeing and Hakka sleeve lions. The production of Hakka sleeve lions is quite simple; one can paint the lion's head using acrylic materials in their favorite colors, then attach the sleeve and the lion's head with hot glue, and wear it on the hand, creating a fun Hakka toy.
