Zhu's Ancestral Hall in Xinpu Introduction
Zhu Clan Temple is located on Heping Street in Xinpu, facing south with a view of the Fengshan River alluvial plain and the Litao Mountain in the distance. It is situated near other historical sites such as the Liu Clan Ancestral Hall and the Pan Residence, and is one of many clan temples in Xinpu. In 2009, it was registered as a historical building in Hsinchu County. The hall name of the Zhu family is Peiguo Hall, originally a residence of a branch of the Zhu family that moved to Xinpu. Later, due to the good feng shui of the location, relatives proposed to convert the house into the Zhu Clan Temple to worship the ancestral tablets of Zhu Zhen. Ancestral worship is conducted annually on October 25th.
