Fuxiang Cactus Garden Introduction
Whether it's the spiky cacti or the plump and cute succulents, when you visit Fuxiang Cactus in Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County, you can not only "appreciate" and "buy" these plants but also select your favorite plants and pots to create your own healing little garden. Fuxiang Succulent Plant Garden currently features several themed areas, including the Cactus Tropical Scenic Area, the Water Source Plant Natural Ecological Purification Area, the Aquatic Plant Area, and the Medicinal Plant Area. Additionally, there are eight cactus cultivation greenhouses and a large conference teaching presentation room, making the entire park very well-planned. They have developed an exclusive cactus dye that, with its silky cool touch and fresh colors, enriches the visitor experience. The experience course takes about 1 to 2 hours; you first bundle the fabric with marbles, popsicle sticks, or rubber bands to create unique floral patterns. Then, the bundled fabric is placed into a prepared concentrated dye solution and boiled, followed by soaking in an oxidizing agent for about half an hour, which helps the dye adhere to the fabric fibers. After completing the preparatory work, the semi-finished product is then immersed in the cactus dye, and using your hands to knead back and forth, you can carefully transfer a hint of green to the fabric fibers. Since the dye made from cacti contains a lot of silky gelatin, when dyeing the fabric, it feels like dipping your hands in skincare products, making your skin feel more hydrated and luminous!
