SimaKuSui Introduction

Located deep within the mountains of Simiakus Village in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, "God's Tribe" is renowned for its magnificent millennium-old trees and the misty atmosphere of its hidden gem. At an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters, it presents a different scenery in every season, making it a stunning mountain settlement that combines natural landscapes with Atayal culture. Starting from the village, you can venture along the trail into the primal forest, reaching the breathtaking tree group ecological area in about two hours. Towering cedar giants, some over a thousand years old, stand tall and majestic, representing one of the few areas in Taiwan that still preserves a complete original forest landscape. Along the hiking path, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the valley, mountain mist, native plants, and the sounds of birds and insects, providing a spiritual cleansing experience. Moreover, every spring (around February to March), over 2,000 cherry blossom trees bloom in the village, transforming Simiakus into a high-altitude cherry blossom paradise. The intertwined pink and white blossoms with the village's rustic wooden architecture create a fairytale-like romantic scene, making it a magnificent spot that attracts photographers and travelers alike. After being electrified in 1975 and establishing the village development association in 1995, the local indigenous people have worked together to build a church, cultural classrooms, and accommodation spaces while preserving their indigenous cultural spirit and respect for the land. Today, Simiakus is not just a tourist destination but a living Atayal cultural village. This attraction has been recognized in the "2025 Tourism Highlights 100", and warmly invites you to step into "God's Tribe" to experience the tranquility, culture, and grandeur of the millennium-old forest.
