Horizontal Screen Back Fish Viewing Trail Introduction
The Hengpingbei Ecological Fish Watching Trail is located in Donghe Village. The name "Hengpingbei" comes from the Hengpingbei community of the Saisiyat tribe. The trail stretches approximately 1 kilometer along the left bank of the Hengpingbei Stream. There are two entrances to the trail, with the southern entrance located next to the Zhongxing Bridge at about 4.3K on Miaoli County Road 21, where clear signage can be seen. The Hengpingbei Ecological Fish Watching Trail is situated next to a humid stream valley, surrounded by lush trees that nurture rich ecological resources. The babbling waters are enveloped in greenery, allowing for close-up views of fish and shrimp in the stream. Benches are provided approximately every 200 meters along the trail for visitors to rest. The path is constructed with gravel and wooden steps, with gentle slopes, making it easy to traverse in about half an hour. It is an excellent place for leisurely walks and close encounters with nature. During the transition from spring to summer each year, fireflies and the beautiful sight of tung flowers make it suitable for family enjoyment.
