Earth Farm Introduction
As the car drives into Qixing Village in Emei Township along the winding roads, the lush greenery on both sides thrives, and the sound of cicadas fills the air; at times, you'll even lose internet signal. This "disconnected" journey heightens your awareness of nature's breath, marking the beginning of the journey at the Earth Farm. The Earth Farm is based on Japan’s concepts of "Sansei" (ecology, production, life) and "Satoyama," promoting the ideas of sustainable nature and human-land coexistence. This place is not only a farm but also an ecological classroom that integrates a community, cultivated land, mountains, and water bodies. The farm owner is committed to promoting environmental education and forest economy, engaging in afforestation, seedling cultivation, seed preservation, and the production of refined agricultural products, creating a natural space that combines wellness, leisure, and healing. Currently, the farm has 49 hectares of Taiwan acacia planted, and it has received the National Afforestation Excellence Award for its afforestation efforts, with a total afforestation area exceeding 8.1 hectares. The park features: Sakura Valley, Bald Cypress Trail, Nine Whip Trail, Jurassic Park, Butterfly Corridor, Camellia Garden, Cinnamomum House, Sheep Barn, Water Chestnut Lake, Water-reflected Terraces, Bitter Tea Green Hill, Yinwuxin Stone Scenic Forest, and more, each season showcasing unique scenery for travelers to explore. During the firefly season from April to May each year, swarms of fireflies dance in the woods, seeming to weave a dreamlike net of lights for summer nights, leaving everyone in awe. The farm has two teaching spaces: one is a greenhouse converted from an old sheep barn, and the other is a small classroom at the entrance. The outdoor space serves as an excellent natural classroom, suitable for workshops, markets, open-air cinemas, and other activities. Daytime activities are diverse and rich, including wild running fields, plant and insect identification, bamboo shoot and melon picking, plum brewing, bitter tea seed collection and pressing, jade jelly making, Nantak incense, bamboo house living experiences, DIY bitter tea twig slingshots, natural dyeing, seedling collection, and more. All crops here are naturally cultivated without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, allowing children to explore, learn, and play in a safe environment.
