Meilun Coastal Park Introduction
Hualien Pacific Park includes the South Coast section and the North Coast section. The South Coast Park is planned along the southern coastline, preserving the original natural landscape. Sitting on the large stones by the shore, visitors can gaze at the vast Pacific Ocean and the crescent-shaped "Huilan New Bay." Alongside the seawall, it connects to two bicycle paths. The park environment is clean, with designated seating areas for pedestrians, and its spacious layout, combined with Hualien's fresh air, makes it a great recreational spot for the public on both weekends and weekdays. The park features a Roman-style central plaza, equipped with parking lots and public restrooms, as well as a designated children's playground area. Overall, it is very convenient for visitors, with barrier-free facilities that are a blessing for the elderly. The North Coast section is home to large 3D painted art installations; at the entrance, there is a sculpture of a leaping koi fish, along with 3D hand-painted ocean world mural walls, an extreme sports field, and a beach volleyball court, all very popular among the youth. Both areas are excellent destinations for family outings.
