Meilunshan Park Introduction
Meilun Mountain Park Sports Recreation Area is designed to allow local residents and tourists visiting Hualien to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and spaces for physical activity. Meilun Mountain makes Hualien City a vibrant place, featuring expansive lawns for recreation, winding trails for hiking, and stunning coastal views. Meilun Mountain belongs to a subtropical forest ecosystem, with ample rainfall, warm climate, and low-density development, thus preserving its lush greenery and sustaining diverse flora and fauna. To the south is the Martyrs' Shrine, which offers a bird's-eye view of Hualien City; next to the entrance is the Meilun Mountain Ecological Exhibition Hall, which showcases slides of various insects, including fireflies, crickets, and butterflies, serving as an outdoor teaching venue for local elementary schools. Furthermore, there are numerous trails for hiking on Meilun Mountain; following any trail, regardless of the season or time of day, visitors can witness the rich and colorful ecology of Meilun Mountain.
