Lushan Recreation Area Introduction
Luoshan is Taiwan's first organic village, where local residents unite to promote a pesticide-free industry in order to protect their beautiful home. The Luoshan Organic Village features mud volcanoes with four types of "mud volcano topography," including mud shields, mud pools, mud basins, and mud caves, making it a rare natural wonder in the wild. Another natural beauty in Luoshan Village is a waterfall, which is nearby a "Daping Pond." In recent years, efforts from the Luoshan Organic Village have allowed visitors to enjoy the scenery of water chestnuts flourishing during the summer and autumn seasons. The locals utilize the naturally released saline water, combined with locally produced organic soybeans, to create the unique mud volcano tofu, a must-try delicacy when visiting Luoshan. While visiting Luoshan, guests can not only enjoy day tours but also opt to stay at local B&Bs. There is also a camping area converted from an old elementary school nearby, which is well-equipped, allowing visitors to fully experience the rural charm of Luoshan.
