Luoshan Waterfall Introduction
Play Guide - A waterfall can be seen in less than 15 minutes on the trail. The newly renovated wooden plank trail is easy to walk and suitable for a short stroll, allowing you to absorb the phytoncides of the forest and enjoy the Lushan Waterfall in the depths of the Lushan Recreation Area. There are parking lots, businesses, and restrooms nearby. The waterfall, which was originally a path where you could only hear the sound but not see it, has been completely renovated. The wooden plank trail is built along the mountain and features viewing platforms by the stream, enabling visitors to gaze at the Lushan Waterfall, which resembles a silver chain hanging amidst the lush mountains. Looking down, one can overlook the Luozai Creek valley and listen to the bubbling sound of rushing water over the boulders. The Lushan Waterfall Trail is a circular path that takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk, with handrails throughout, providing a support point for hikers while allowing them to pause and appreciate the broad-leaved forest comprising Bloodwood, Mountain Cabbage, and Taro plants, feeling the healing power of nature. The Lushan Waterfall, which hangs between the valleys, is located on a tributary of Luozai Creek - the upstream Yan Cheng Creek, near the fault line of the Central Mountain Range, formed by tectonic movement. The waterfall has two tiers, with a drop of 100 meters on the upper tier and 20 meters on the lower tier, making a total drop of 120 meters. You can enjoy the graceful posture of the Lushan Waterfall from the viewing platform on the trail or the parking lot, or walk onto the arch bridge to get a close-up view of the rushing waters of Luozai Creek to the east, while to the west, you can admire the Huadong Valley plain and the Central Mountain Range, capturing the rustic scenery of the Organic Village of Lushan. Nearby the Lushan Waterfall are attractions like the Mud Volcano and the Lushan Big Fish Pond, which can be visited in sequence after the waterfall, where you can explore the wonders of the mud volcano, taste handmade tofu made with mud volcano broth, and learn about the aquatic plants and animals in the Big Fish Pond, experiencing the unique tranquility of Lushan.
