Qigu Salt Mountain Introduction
Yanshan is a popular attraction that has been extensively covered by various media and magazines. The snow-white peaks stand tall along the coast and are a well-known landmark in Qigu. Recently, the annual salt sculpture event, held regularly each year, often draws large crowds. Before the event begins, a layer of new salt is spread over the weathered Yanshan, making the mountain appear even whiter under the sun and wind. One should not underestimate the seemingly small act of spreading salt; the manpower and resources required for just this task can amount to millions. When the weather is favorable, the sky, set against the white Yanshan, can showcase a beautiful Turkish blue.
