Luerhmen Tianhou Temple Introduction
The Lukai Men Tianhou Temple was reconstructed in 1977, designed by Chen Zongqian. It adopts a traditional Confucian temple layout in a "H" shape, with the main hall surrounded by the San Chuan Hall, the rear hall, and two side rooms. Two corridors connect the San Chuan Hall to the main hall, which sits on a raised platform with nine steps, while the rear hall is two steps lower than the main hall, both elevated to emphasize their solemnity. The front of the temple features an archway arranged in three sections, with a reception pavilion in front to the left and a Nine Dragon platform to the right; all three are temporary replica structures.
