Old Sanhe Bank (Xinbin - Station Front) Introduction
Hamasen was once a financial hub in Kaohsiung, prosperous in trade and home to numerous financial institutions. The "Yiqian Datong" in front of the Takao Station was renowned as the "First Financial Street," making it an important historical site in Kaohsiung. The former Sanhe Bank was established in 1921 as the Kaohsiung branch of the 34th Bank, serving as a subsidiary of the Bank of Japan in Taiwan.
