Xilin Port Bicycle Path Introduction
The former cargo railway of the port line, which once played a vital role in Kaohsiung's economy for nearly half a century, has been transformed into the West Port Line bicycle path after fulfilling its heavy responsibilities. Starting from the Fisherman's Wharf connecting to the Gushan Ferry Station in the north, and extending to the Dream Mall business district on Kaixuan Road in the south, the 6-kilometer bike path passes by famous attractions such as Banana Pier, the Railway Story Museum, the Pier-2 Art Center, Love Pier, the West Port Line Bridge, and Glory Wharf. It connects the scenic coastline of Kaohsiung Port with the urban green corridor, allowing riders to take in the magnificent views of the port city and the beautiful scenery of the Love River. Biking along this route is the best way to experience the charm of the port city.
