West Coast Bike Path Introduction
The Linengang Line freight railway, which once played a crucial role in Kaohsiung's economy for nearly sixty years, has been transformed into the West Linengang Line bike path after shedding its heavy responsibilities. This bike path begins at the Fisherman's Wharf, connecting to the Gushan Ferry Station, and extends south to the Dream Mall shopping area on Kaixuan Road. The six-kilometer route passes by famous attractions including Banana Wharf, the Railway Story Museum, Pier-2 Art Center, Love Pier, the West Linengang Line river-crossing railway bridge, and Glory Wharf, linking the scenic coastal views of Kaohsiung Port with the city's green corridors.
