West Coast Port Line Bike Path Introduction
The Kaohsiung Port Line, which once played a crucial role in the economy of Kaohsiung for nearly six decades, has been transformed into the West Port Line Bicycle Path after fulfilling its significant responsibilities. Starting from Fisherman's Wharf and connecting to Gushan Ferry Station in the north, and extending south to the Dream Mall area on Kaixuan Road, the 6-kilometer-long path passes iconic tourist spots such as Banana Pier, the Railway Story Museum, the Pier-2 Art Center, Love Pier, the West Port Line River-crossing Iron Bridge, and Glory Pier. This route links the beautiful coastal scenery of Kaohsiung Harbor with urban green corridors, offering a panoramic view of the city’s grandeur and the charming landscape of the Love River. Cycling along this path is the best way to experience the allure of this harbor city.
