【Evaluation Validity Period: 2023/07/19~2026/07/18】"From Xiagang to Wanhua" In the 1950s, the area around Wanhua Station was a gathering place for people from Xiagang seeking work in the north. Grandpa and Grandma Hong came from Changhua, initially selling scarves and hats at the roundabout. After some time of hard work, they finally established a clothing processing factory on Dali Street and also opened a store in Wanhua. In 1977, Grandpa Hong decided to retire and passed the two factories on to his son; the predecessor of Yumeiren Clothing Company was the clothing processing factory Grandpa Hong later established in Banqiao. Decades went by as the Hong family diligently operated the factories and stores, gradually noticing the demand for maternity clothing, thus transforming their business to specialize in maternity wear and related products, primarily in wholesale. Due to their high-quality materials and craftsmanship, they gradually built a good reputation, becoming well-known in the Wanhua business circle; at their peak, distributors had to wait in line to place orders! From a shop with a factory behind it, special sales, establishing multi-brand stores, to virtual channel marketing and the establishment of a tourist factory, Yumeiren has come a long way, experiencing the era of "Taiwan money flooding the streets," as well as facing economic downturns and the impact of declining birth rates. However, this old maternity clothing company has continued to leave its mark under the perseverance of the Hong brothers. Supporting Taiwan starts with MIT. In recent years, traditional manufacturing industries have been declining with the transformation of economic models, compounded by the impact of declining birth rates, leading the Hong brothers to often lament: in such an environment, how can Taiwanese people carve out their own path? With decades of experience in the maternity clothing business, the Hong brothers have developed a deep bond with their mommy customers. As one of the first maternity wear companies to obtain government MIT certification, they have their own production line, with everything from conception to production, and from fabric selection to finished products occurring within Yumeiren’s own factory. Thus, every garment produced by Yumeiren undergoes strict quality control, while constantly developing new products. The tourist factory of Yumeiren hopes to provide a warm space for expectant mothers, helping them make the best preparations for themselves and their babies as they welcome new life, making it an ideal place for young families to visit.
