New Taipei City Government Building Introduction
The New Taipei City Government Administration Building was completed and inaugurated on March 24, 2003. This is a 33-story, 4-level underground, 140.5-meter tall technological and intelligent building, aimed at providing high-quality and efficient services to the citizens of New Taipei City. The New Taipei City Government Building is connected to the Banqiao Station, which integrates Taiwan Railways, Taiwan High Speed Rail, and MRT, as well as long-distance bus and public transport stations via underground corridors along Xinfu Road and Xinzhan Road, making transportation convenient and accessible. In addition to providing employees with a high-quality working environment, the building also offers multifunctional service venues such as a nursery, restaurant, bakery, scenic restaurant, and observation deck. The first-floor lobby features a public exhibition space, connected to a civic plaza that is not only lush with greenery but also hosts various folk and cultural performances from time to time. Citizens can relax and walk in this shared space, experiencing the architectural and artistic expressions of an international city. Besides serving as an administrative center, the New Taipei City Administration Building also plays a role as a disaster response and traffic command hub. The city's Disaster Response Center and Traffic Control Center are located on the 9th floor of the building. With the establishment of the traffic control center, proper management of important traffic intersections throughout the city can be achieved, using signal transmission displays to adjust peak traffic flow and alleviate congestion. The disaster center, through satellite transmission and SNG connections, links the city's disaster response circumstances and disaster sites, allowing for a comprehensive grasp of the situation in order to take the best disaster response measures promptly, ensuring the safety of citizens' lives and property.
