New Taipei City Hall Introduction
The New Taipei City Government Administration Building was completed and inaugurated on March 24, 2003. It is a technologically advanced and intelligent building with 33 floors above ground and 4 underground floors, standing at 140.5 meters tall, aimed at providing high-quality and efficient services to the citizens of New Taipei City. The government building is well-connected to the Banqiao Station, which integrates Taiwan Railways, High Speed Rail, and MRT services, as well as intercity bus station and bus stops through underground corridors along Xinfu Road and Xinzhan Road, ensuring convenient and accessible transportation. Besides offering employees a quality working environment, the building also provides multifunctional facilities such as a nursery, restaurants, a bakery, a scenic dining area, and an observation deck. The atrium on the first floor features public exhibition space, connecting to a civic plaza that is adorned with lush greenery and periodically hosts various folk and artistic performances. Citizens can visit this shared space to relax and take a stroll, experiencing the showcase of architecture and art that reflects New Taipei City’s move towards internationalization. In addition to serving as an administrative center, the New Taipei City Administration Building plays a crucial role in disaster response and traffic control, with the city's disaster response center and traffic control center located on the 9th floor of the building. Thanks to the establishment of the traffic control center, important intersections throughout the city can be properly managed, adjusting peak traffic flow and alleviating congestion through signal transmission displays. The disaster response center connects to the city's disaster situations and scene through satellite transmission and SNG connections, allowing comprehensive understanding of disaster conditions, facilitating the implementation of optimal disaster response methods at the first opportunity to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
