New Taipei City Government Building Introduction
The New Taipei City Government Administrative Building was completed and inaugurated on March 24, 2003. It is a technologically advanced and intelligent building, standing 140.5 meters tall with 33 floors above ground and 4 below. Its aim is to provide high-quality and efficient services to the citizens of New Taipei City. The city hall is connected to the Banqiao Station, which integrates Taiwan Railways, High-Speed Rail, and MRT, as well as long-distance bus stations and bus stops through underground corridors on Xinfuzhong Road and Xinzhan Road, enabling convenient transportation in all directions. In addition to providing a quality working environment for employees, the city hall also offers multifunctional service venues such as a daycare center, a restaurant, a bakery, a panoramic restaurant, and an observation deck. The first-floor lobby features public exhibition space, connected to a civic square that is not only lush with greenery but also hosts various folk and cultural performances at irregular intervals; citizens can come to this shared space to rest and stroll, experiencing the architectural and artistic displays of an international city. Besides serving as the administrative center, the New Taipei City Government Building plays a vital role in disaster response and traffic command. The city's Disaster Response Center and Traffic Control Center are located on the 9th floor of the city hall, allowing for appropriate management of major intersections throughout the city via the traffic control center and the adjustment of peak traffic flow to relieve congestion through signal transmission displays. The establishment of the Disaster Response Center connects the entire city's disaster relief situation and disaster scenes through satellite transmission and SNG connections, enabling comprehensive control of disaster conditions to ensure the best disaster relief measures are taken promptly, thereby safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
