New Taipei City Government Building Introduction
The New Taipei City Government Administrative Building was completed and inaugurated on March 24, 2003. This is a technologically advanced, smart building with 33 above-ground floors and 4 underground floors, standing at a height of 140.5 meters, aimed at providing high-quality and efficient services to the citizens of New Taipei City. The city government building is conveniently connected to the Banqiao Station, which integrates Taiwan Railway, High-Speed Rail, and MRT, as well as long-distance bus and public bus stations, allowing for easy transportation. In addition to providing a quality working environment for employees, the city government building also offers multifunctional service areas such as a daycare center, restaurants, a bakery, a panoramic restaurant, and an observation deck. The first-floor lobby features a public exhibition space, connected to the citizen plaza, which is filled with lush greenery and often hosts various folk and cultural performances. Citizens can use this shared public space to rest and stroll, experiencing the architecture and art that reflect the city's journey toward becoming an international urban center. Besides serving as an administrative center, the New Taipei City Government Building also plays a key role in disaster response and traffic control. The city’s Disaster Response Center and Traffic Control Center are located on the 9th floor of the building, allowing for proper management of important traffic intersections throughout the city. Through signal transmission displays, traffic flow during peak times can be adjusted to alleviate congestion. The Disaster Center connects the entire city's disaster response situations and disaster scenes through satellite transmission and SNG connections, enabling comprehensive monitoring of disaster conditions to ensure the best response methods are employed in a timely manner, thereby effectively safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
