Zhunan Brewery Visitor Center Introduction

【Review Validity Period: 2024/08/23~2027/08/22】The Zhunan Brewery is located in the Zhunan Industrial Zone of Miaoli County and is the largest, most modern, and highest-capacity brewery of the company. Planning for its construction began in 1981, with partial budget allocation and completion of legal procedures in 1983. However, due to a stagnation in beer sales and the opening of foreign beer imports, the construction plan was temporarily postponed. After reevaluation in 1989, it was deemed necessary to continue, and the plan was revised based on actual conditions, with construction starting in July 1990. The project was gradually contracted out beginning on January 20, 1992, and was fully completed and started trial runs by June 30, 1996. It officially commenced mass production after hosting a concert by local singing star Wu Bai on May 24, 1998. This brewery is specialized in brewing beer, offering products such as 0.6 liter Taiwan Beer, 0.35 liter canned Taiwan Beer, 6-pack 0.35 liter canned Taiwan Beer, 0.6 liter Taiwan Draft Beer, and 30 liter draft beer kegs, with an annual maximum production capacity of about 2.16 million kiloliters, equivalent to 30 million bottles of 0.6 liter beer per year, and 30,000 tons of malt per year. In July 1997, due to policy needs, it merged with the Jianguo Brewery, producing at both locations simultaneously. On April 15, 2002, the Zhunan Brewery was separated from the Jianguo Brewery, merged with a bottling factory, and on July 1, 2002, following the company's restructuring, it was renamed Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation Zhunan Brewery. On November 1, 2003, the transportation center was incorporated into the materials department of this brewery, and on November 17 of the same year, the Taipei Brewery was also included under its management. After merging with the bottling factory, transportation center, and Taipei Brewery, this brewery became the largest supply factory for beer and bottles in Northern Taiwan. In 2006, it began producing premium beer, entering the ranks of high-quality, high-standard production management. In response to the trend of a two-day weekend in Taiwan and the company's innovative policies, it applied for certification as a tourist factory from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in April 2015, and passed the certification on July 20 of the same year, welcoming visits and feedback from all sectors at any time. ♦Excessive drinking is harmful to health♦♦Do not drink and drive; drive responsibly♦♦No alcohol for those under eighteen♦
