Sifang Ranch Introduction
The owner of Sifang Ranch originally engaged in the production of ready-made clothing and raincoats. However, in the 1970s, as the New Taiwan Dollar began to appreciate and Mainland China opened up, the survival space for Taiwan's labor industry became increasingly limited. Therefore, he actively sought transformation. At that time, Taiwan's dairy industry was already established, with dairy factories fully purchasing the milk produced by dairy farms. This meant that dairy farmers were solely responsible for production while sales were entirely handled by the dairy factories, which also guaranteed the price of raw milk—what a fantastic industry it was! In fact, the ranch owner came from a farming family. As a child, he experienced a summer where mosquitoes bothered the cows on the farm. He saw his father hand-sewing mosquito nets to allow the cows to sleep underneath them, and the cows seemed to become a part of the family, naturally fostering a special affection for them. When it came time to raise cows, both father and son unanimously agreed (excluding the wife), which led them into the dairy farming business. Covering over 10 acres, Sifang Ranch retains the pristine charm of a traditional pasture. Visitors can follow the lush Acacia tree path to enjoy a refreshing forest bath or indulge in the greenery of the pastures. Of course, what makes it even more special is the opportunity to get close to dairy cows and learn about their ecology! Whether feeding calves, observing the milk extraction process, or tasting the fresh milk rated as the best and creamiest by the Homemakers' Union, every experience is fresh and enjoyable.
