Wen Wen Food Tourism Factory Introduction
【Evaluation Validity Period: 2025/09/18~2028/09/17】Maru Food was established in 1950 and is a family business in Taichung that has been passed down for three generations. Maru Food is renowned for its high-quality golden granules of skipjack tuna flakes, known for their fresh taste and traditional craftsmanship, which often creates high demand. Products like skipjack tuna flakes and fish balls produced by Maru have become a shared memory for the people of Taichung. Driven by the founder Mr. Liang Huo-Cun's insistence on using only the finest skipjack tuna meat instead of artificial seasonings, and beginning production at 3 AM every day, Maru aims to provide consumers with the freshest products available. Mr. Liang believes that if he and his employees enjoy the products, consumers will naturally favor them. Valuing reputation and honest, simple goodwill, this has become the family motto for Maru's sustainable operation. The rigorous demands for product quality and the hard working conditions starting before dawn have led to labor shortages. To stabilize product quality and increase production, the second generation, Liang Rong-Chin and Cao Li-Hsin, chose to build a nearly 1,000-ping modern automated and hygienic factory in the Dali Industrial Zone in Taichung to create a wider variety of processed foods by combining seafood with agricultural products. The second generation continues the operating philosophy of integrity, adhering to quality traditions while constantly innovating, allowing Maru Food to stand out in the market. With the addition of the third generation, Maru has begun establishing a tourism factory, aiming to educate the public about the nutritional value of fish while also introducing the beauty of "Maru" to the younger generation of consumers.
