Founded in Taichung's First Market, Wanwen Foods is a local brand that has been passed down through three generations over nearly 70 years, and it has become a representative of local souvenirs in Taichung. With over half a century of skill inheritance, Wanwen carefully selects large white-fleshed fish, only choosing sashimi-grade portions, and stir-fries them with exclusive homemade lard. With natural and simple ingredients and unique production methods, they create the famous golden flaky fish floss. Classic recipes are revived, bringing the old brand back to glory. In addition to loyal old customers, Wanwen has enhanced its brand recognition and favorability, expanding its consumer market. With government support, they hope to attract younger and urban consumers, expanding the local brand internationally, allowing more people to recognize the quality fish floss and Wanwen. In recent years, they have also established a tourism factory, which officially opened on January 1, 2021, as an expansion of the original Dali factory. The DIY fish ball experience is particularly popular among young parents. During a brief 20-minute guided tour, visitors can learn about the production process of fish floss and fish balls through the guide's explanation. This is followed by a DIY session where a professional chef leads children to create their first fish ball. During the process, the chef demonstrates the proper technique for shaping fish balls, ensuring they retain a certain elasticity, allowing them to enjoy "QQ" textured fish balls. Of course, the participants can also unleash their creativity to make various shapes of fish balls and share their creative creations, creating wonderful and happy memories.
