Located in Taiping District on the Chelongpu Fault, it was severely damaged by the 921 earthquake. After the reconstruction was completed, the Taiping District Office planned to build the 921 Earthquake Memorial Park to commemorate and remind the world of the disaster and the spirit of rebuilding. The park covers an area of 3.5 hectares and is situated near the Guangxinglong Bridge, featuring a wide view. It includes a children's play area, a skating rink, and a large lawn square.
