921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan Introduction

The 921 Earthquake Memorial Park is a recreational place primarily for local residents. The children's play area includes sandpits, and with its expansive lawns and skating rink, many parents bring their children to the park to play, fly kites, and skate. The broad vista allows for a view of the rolling mountains of Taiping, providing a refreshing experience. Standing at the park's high point and looking towards the other side of the river at Taiping evokes memories of the spirit of rebuilding and resilience post-disaster, which is truly moving. The towns that were once damaged now possess a renewed vitality, making it even more inspiring.
