Taichung City Fiber Art Museum is the first public museum at the municipal level in Taichung City and the first professional museum in the country focused on fiber. It integrates the cultural context and natural resources of Taiwan, utilizing collections that encompass four categories: Han Chinese artifacts, Taiwanese indigenous peoples, ethnic minorities from Southwest China, and contemporary creations, serving as a craft platform to connect fiber creators with artifacts and to pass on the culture of fiber craftsmanship. The museum's mission is "Fiber • Fashion • Green Craft," adhering to the four main functions of museums: collection, research, exhibition, and education. Over 1,200 fiber artifacts with historical, cultural, and artistic value will be shared with the public, showcasing fiber art objects that are rich in connotation and aesthetic appeal.
