Limei Emergency Escape Trail Introduction

The Limei Evacuation Trail is located between the Lijia Tribe and the Shanmei Tribe in Alishan Township. It was an ancient path used by the Tsou people during their migration. During the Japanese colonial period, it was abandoned after the establishment of the Limei Trail. However, after the devastating 8/8 storm, the Limei Trail became unusable. As a result, villagers proposed to the Forestry Bureau to restore the Limei Evacuation Trail, which was completed after a year of renovations and reopened in 2013. It is a two-way trail with two entrances: one is the Shanmei entrance, which requires crossing the Danayig Valley Suspension Bridge, and the other is the Lijia entrance.
