Mazhulu Trail Introduction
Mazhu Lake is located in the central part of Gongxing Village. It is named for its low-lying terrain and the early abundance of arrow bamboo (where "lake" in Taiwanese means "depression"). In the past, arrow bamboo was also used as material for papermaking and making bamboo rafts. However, the demand for arrow bamboo has declined over time, and now the cultivation of fragrant bamboo has taken precedence, making it one of the important economic crops in the area.
