Er-Yan-Ping Trail Introduction
The trail along the route has been completed and is now open to the public. Please pay attention to your own safety. The entry point of the Er Yan Ping Trail is located next to the highway at 52.8K on Provincial Highway 18, where there is an observation platform right at the entrance. The trail is approximately 2,165 meters long and follows a path that was originally used by early mountain residents to pass through the gap between Xiding Mountain and Er Yan Ping Mountain. The views along the trail are exceptional, offering stunning sunset and sea of clouds scenery, making it a hidden gem for photography. The newly added trail extends from the gazebo at the original trail's endpoint further up the mountain, featuring a wooden boardwalk. Along the way, there are bamboo forests, unique rocks, and tea gardens, with views overlooking the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lanzhan Reservoir. On clear days, you can also see Dongshi and Budai Outer Port to the east, and the peaks of Yushan in the distance. In winter, there is a chance to see cloud waterfalls and sea of clouds, and the beautiful sunsets attract many photographers who come specifically for the shots.
