The trail is currently completed and open for access; visitors are advised to pay attention to their safety. The Er-Yuan-Ping Trail's entrance is located next to the Taiwan Provincial Highway 18 at the 52.8K mark, where there is a viewing platform right at the entrance. The trail is approximately 1150 meters long and takes about 60 minutes one way. The trail's pathway was originally created by the mountain residents when they cultivated the area, passing through the gap between Xiding Mountain and Er-Yuan-Ping Mountain. The views along the trail are exceptional, offering spectacular sights of sunsets and seas of clouds, making it a hidden gem for photographers. The newly added section of the trail extends from the original trail's endpoint at the pavilion and leads further up the mountain, where a wooden plank path has been constructed. Along the way, visitors can enjoy different sceneries including bamboo forests, unusual rock formations, and tea gardens. The trail also offers overlooks of the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lan Pond Reservoir. On clear days, visitors can even see Dongshi and Budai Outer Harbor, and to the east, the peaks of Yushan can be glimpsed. In winter, there’s a chance to see cloud waterfalls and seas of clouds, while the beautiful sunset views attract many photographers to visit for capturing stunning images.

Er Yan Ping Trail Introduction

The trail has been completed and is now open for public access. Please pay attention to your safety. The Eryan Ping Trail live images show that the entrance to the Eryan Ping Trail is located next to Highway 18 at the 52.8K mark. There is a viewing platform right at the entrance. The trail is approximately 1,150 meters long, taking about 60 minutes one way. The path was originally used by early mountain residents to traverse the gap between Xiding Mountain and Eryan Ping Mountain. The views along the trail are exceptional, with stunning sunsets and sea of clouds, making it a hidden gem for photography. The new section of the trail extends from the gazebo at the end of the original trail, building a wooden path further up the mountain. Along the way, you will encounter bamboo groves, unique rock formations, and tea plantations, offering varied landscapes. It also provides overlooks of the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lantan Reservoir. On clear days, you can even see Dongshi and Budai Outer Harbor, and to the east, the peaks of Yushan Mountain. In winter, there is a chance to witness cloud waterfalls and sea of clouds, while the beautiful sunset attracts many photographers who come specifically to capture the scene.

Transportation Methods:【Alishan Highway 53.5K】1. Take Chia Yi Bus on the Chiayi-Dabang Line, Chiayi-Fenqihu Line, or Chiayi-Alishan Line, and get off at Anding Station. Walk about 300 meters to the trailhead. 2. From Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station / Chiayi Railway Station, take the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Alishan Line" bus to Xiding Station, and walk about 2.3 kilometers to the Er Yan Ping Trail.
