Er Yan Ping Trail Introduction
The trail section has been completed and is now open to the public. Please pay attention to your own safety. The entrance to the Er Yan Ping Trail is located next to Highway 18 at the 52.8K mark, where there is a viewing platform. The trail is approximately 2,165 meters long and was originally a path used by early mountain residents for farming, passing through the gap between Xiding Mountain and Er Yan Ping Mountain. The trail offers excellent views, with stunning sunsets and sea of clouds, making it a hidden paradise for photographers. The newly added trail extends from the original trail's terminus at the gazebo, further up the mountain with a wooden plank path. Along the way, you can see bamboo groves, strange rocks, and tea gardens, providing various scenic views. It also offers overlooks of the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lan Pond Reservoir. On clear days, it is possible to see Dongshi and Budai Harbor in the distance, and to the east, the peaks of Yushan can be seen. In winter, there are opportunities to view cloud waterfalls and seas of clouds, while the beautiful sunset attracts many photographers who visit specifically to capture the moment.
