The trail along the route has been completed and is open to the public. Please pay attention to your safety. The Er Yan Ping Trail's entrance is located next to Taiwan Highway 18 at 52.8K. Right at the entrance, there is a viewing platform. The trail is approximately 2,165 meters long and was originally created by local residents who cleared the area between Xi Ding Mountain and Er Yan Ping Mountain. The trail offers excellent views, particularly at sunset and during sea of clouds, making it a hidden gem for photography. The newly constructed path continues from the pavilion at the original trail's end and leads uphill along a wooden boardwalk, featuring bamboo forests, unique rock formations, and tea gardens, while overlooking the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lantan Reservoir. On clear days, it is possible to see Dongshi and Budai Outer Harbor to the east, as well as the mountain views of the Yushan Range. In winter, there are opportunities to see cloud waterfalls and seas of clouds, and the beautiful sunsets attract many photographers to visit and take pictures.

Er-Yan-Ping Trail Introduction

The trail along the route has been completed and is now open to the public. Please pay attention to your own safety. The entry point of the Er Yan Ping Trail is located next to the highway at 52.8K on Provincial Highway 18, where there is an observation platform right at the entrance. The trail is approximately 2,165 meters long and follows a path that was originally used by early mountain residents to pass through the gap between Xiding Mountain and Er Yan Ping Mountain. The views along the trail are exceptional, offering stunning sunset and sea of clouds scenery, making it a hidden gem for photography. The newly added trail extends from the gazebo at the original trail's endpoint further up the mountain, featuring a wooden boardwalk. Along the way, there are bamboo forests, unique rocks, and tea gardens, with views overlooking the Chianan Plain, Renyi Pond, and Lanzhan Reservoir. On clear days, you can also see Dongshi and Budai Outer Port to the east, and the peaks of Yushan in the distance. In winter, there is a chance to see cloud waterfalls and sea of clouds, and the beautiful sunsets attract many photographers who come specifically for the shots.

Transportation Methods:1. Take the Chiayi County bus "Chiayi - Dabang Line", "Chiayi - Fenqihu Line" or "Chiayi - Alishan Line", and get off at Anding Station. Walk about 30 meters to the trailhead. 2. At Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station / Chiayi Train Station, take the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Alishan Line" and get off at Anding Station. Walk about 30 meters to the trailhead.
