Hutoupi Reservoir Scenic Area Introduction
Built in 1846, the Hu-Tou-Pi Reservoir is located at the foot of the mountains and facing the water. It was initially constructed for irrigation purposes and has a history of more than 170 years. In 1939, it was designated as a scenic area, with eight renowned landscapes within the park: Hu-Xi Fishing Moon, Hu-Yu Returning Clouds, Hu-Tou Reflection, Gate Fountain, Jiang-Ting Sitting Moon, Watching Fish from the Embankment, Rainbow Shadow on Water Bridge, and Islet Snail Mark. Its various beautiful sceneries have earned it the nickname "Little Sun Moon Lake," and it has become a source of pride as a backyard for the locals due to its breathtaking views.
