A ride along this path guarantees health benefits and endless reminiscences! The Yonghe Mountain Bicycle Scenic Route is located in Shangxing Village, Toufen City, starting from Dongxing Riverside Park and ending at the entrance of the Niuzizai Tunnel, covering a total distance of approximately 3 kilometers. The area along the path features typical Hakka villages that preserve the simple essence of Hakka life in their residential styles and customs. Most houses face vast rice fields, offering expansive views; elders continue to live by traditional rhythms of working at sunrise and resting at sunset, reflecting a close and harmonious relationship with nature. The Land God Temple serves as their spiritual refuge, while the Xu House symbolizes their strong familial bonds. Special attractions and ecological environment: Xu Clan Ancestral Hall: The Xu House is the ancestral home of Xu Minggui, belonging to a traditional Sanheyuan architectural style. It is exceptionally well-preserved, exuding an ancient charm that inspires nostalgia. Shangpu Fude Temple: Located at No. 495 Jixiang Road, the Shangpu Fude Temple was completed in the winter of 1969. It serves not only as a faith center for local residents but also has a large tree nearby that provides a space for rest and conversation. Niukouzi Tunnel: The Niukouzi Tunnel is situated in the hilly area of Shangxing Village, overlooking the Zhonggang Creek and expansive rice paddies. The cave measures approximately 1.8 meters in height, 1.7 meters in width, and is about 100 meters long, with smooth and sturdy rock walls that lack any supporting columns. After passing through the dark tunnel, visitors can ascend along the mountain path on the right side, where they can see worker huts and remnants of the flow cage. The Niukouzi Tunnel was likely used by early residents to transport agricultural products (like sugarcane).
