Toufen Back Garden Introduction
In the northeastern corner of Toufen City, on the old red soil hillocks, lies a piece of land that has yet to be overly developed; here, you can find tea gardens, sycamore woods, whispering pines, and pathways lined with acacia trees, along with scenic trails connecting various beautiful natural views, where the sounds of cicadas and birds create a harmonious symphony of nature. In summer, the tung flowers fall like white snow, creating a romantic scene, and with each season, different flowers such as acacia, pomelo, and pear bloom, accompanying visitors along the trails, their colorful beauty coupled with delightful fragrances always amaze tourists. This independent paradise is what we call the "Toufen Backyard Garden." When you arrive at the Toufen Backyard Garden, the first stop must be to walk along the "Laoki Resting Trail," which has been renovated to show a new look while maintaining the original terrain and natural beauty through ecological construction techniques, making it both beautiful and rustic. The trail is approximately four kilometers long, with parking lots at the entrances near Xuanhua Hall, Jinchun Farm, Yiming Tea Garden, and Rixin Tea Garden, allowing visitors to choose between short round trips or an O-shaped round hike based on their time and fitness level. Along the way, various scenic features await – the pine forest stone steps, sycamore red soil paths, wooden ties, and acacia red soil paths each display unique charm. Toufen is famous for producing "Pong Feng Tea," so tea gardens are found everywhere in the Backyard Garden, with a stone tablet of "Toufen Backyard Garden" set up in front of each tea house, indicating you have entered this land full of pastoral charm. "Pong Feng Tea," also known as "Oriental Beauty Tea," has a unique flavor that is loved by tea enthusiasts. After hiking or strolling in the woods, it's a good idea to sit down and enjoy a cup of fine tea. The traditional Hakka Sanhe courtyard of Xu’s ancient house, the red brick teahouse of Yiming Tea Garden, the tranquil Tang-style garden teahouse, and Jinchun Farm all exude rich cultural vibes, perfectly embodying the serene sentiment that one should have when tasting Chinese tea.
