Toufen Back Garden Introduction
In the northeast corner of Toufen City, hidden within the Laoqi Red Earth Hill Landscape, lies a piece of untouched paradise that has not been overly developed. Here, there are tea gardens in rows, sweet gum forests providing shade, whispering pine trees, and paths lined with acacia trees. Additionally, there are resting trails connecting various natural landscapes, accompanied by the sounds of cicadas and birds, creating a symphony of nature. During summer, the Tung blossom romantically carpets the ground like white snow, while different seasons bring forth the acacia yellow flowers, pomelo flowers, and pear flowers, accompanying visitors along the trails. Their vibrant beauty and delightful fragrance always amaze tourists. This secluded paradise is known as the "Toufen Back Garden." Upon visiting the Toufen Back Garden, the first stop should be the "Laoqi Resting Trail," a newly renovated path that showcases the area’s natural contours and topography using eco-friendly construction methods, making it both beautiful and rustic. The trail is approximately four kilometers long and features parking lots at the entrances of Xuanhua Hall, Jinchun Farm, Yiming Tea Garden, and Rixin Tea Garden. Visitors can choose to hike either a shorter round trip or an O-shaped loop depending on their time and stamina. Along the way, the pine forest stone steps, the sweet gum red earth path, the wooden plank hibiscus path, and the acacia red earth path each offer unique scenery. Toufen is famous for its production of "Pong Feng Tea," so tea gardens abound in the back garden. In front of every tea shop, there is a stone tablet stating "Toufen Back Garden," indicating that you are now in this land rich in pastoral charm. "Pong Feng Tea," also known as "Oriental Beauty Tea," is beloved by tea enthusiasts for its unique flavor. After hiking or strolling through the woods, one can leisurely sit down and enjoy a cup of fine tea. The traditional Hakka Sanheyuan at Xu Family Old House, the red brick tea house at Yiming Tea Garden, the serene Tang-style garden tea house, and Jinchun Farm are all filled with a rich cultural ambiance, perfectly embodying the tranquil spirit that tea drinking in China should bring.
