Tongluo Sky Bicycle Path Introduction
The Tongluo Bicycle Path is located in Jiuhu Village, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County. Also known as the Tongluo Jiuhu Bicycle Path, it features a circular design with a total length of approximately 8 kilometers, constructed along the ridgeline of Jiuhua Mountain. The route loops back to the starting point, passing by major attractions such as Da Xing Shan Temple, the Salt Trail, and the Tiger Head Cliff Ancient Trail. It also includes a historic suspension bridge and scenic bridge spanning a valley, which are very distinctive features. About 5 kilometers of the bicycle path is integrated with the tea plantation industry roads, where the expansive tea fields and rural landscapes are also one of the highlights of the Tongluo Bicycle Path. The highest bicycle path in Taiwan, the Tongluo Bicycle Path boasts the country's tallest "Sky Bicycle Path" situated between the Tiger Head Cliff Ancient Trail and the Salt Trail. This path, which crosses the valley, is accessible only to bicycles and pedestrians. A uniquely designed viewing platform features bike parking spaces, allowing visitors to easily park their bicycles and enjoy the scenery from above. Especially during the Tung tree blossom season, the valley is filled with blooming Tung flowers, resembling pure white snow covering the mountain tops, creating a breathtaking sight.
