Tongluo Sky Bike Path Introduction
The Tongluo Bicycle Path is located in Jiuhu Village, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County, and is also known as the Tongluo Jiuhu Bicycle Path. The circular route, designed as a loop, is approximately 8 kilometers long and is built along the ridgeline of Jihuashan, leading back to the starting point. It passes by major attractions such as the Daxingshan Temple on Jihuashan, the Tiaoyan Ancient Path, and the Hutoukai Ancient Path. Among its highlights are the ancient suspension bridge and scenic bridge spanning the valley, both unique features of the path. About 5 kilometers of the bicycle path is integrated with roads used for tea plantations, making the expansive tea fields and pastoral landscapes another distinctive aspect of the Tongluo Bicycle Path. The highest bicycle path in Taiwan, the Tongluo Bicycle Path features the so-called “Sky Bicycle Path” located between the Hutoukai Ancient Path and the Tiaoyan Ancient Path. This bicycle path spanning the valley is restricted to bicycles and pedestrians only. The uniquely designed viewing platform includes bike parking spaces, allowing visitors to park their bicycles and enjoy the scenery from above, especially during the Tung blossom season when the valley is filled with blooms, resembling a mountain top covered in pure white snow, which is truly beautiful. "Enjoying the sunset and sea of clouds along the bicycle path presents a breathtaking view, making it perfect for family outings. Strolling along the Jiuhu Bicycle Path, visitors can admire flowers, enjoy fragrances, and leisurely embrace a weekend getaway filled with culture, health, and delightful experiences."
