Tongluo Sky Bike Path Introduction
The Tongluo Bicycle Path is located in Jiuhe Village, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County, also known as the Tongluo Jiuhe Bicycle Path. This circular route covers approximately 8 kilometers and is built along the ridge of Jiu Hua Mountain, returning to the starting point after a loop. It passes by major attractions such as the Daxingshan Temple, Tiao Yan Ancient Trail, and Hu Tou Kan Ancient Trail, including a unique suspension bridge and scenic bridge that cross the valley. One of the features of the Tongluo Bicycle Path is that about 5 kilometers of it are combined with tea plantation roads, offering expansive views of tea fields and farmlands. The highest bicycle path in Taiwan, the so-called "Sky Bicycle Path," is located between the Hu Tou Kan Ancient Trail and Tiao Yan Ancient Trail. This bicycle path, which crosses the valley, is only open to bicycles and pedestrians. It features a uniquely designed observation deck with bicycle parking spaces, allowing visitors to conveniently park their bikes and enjoy the view from above, especially during the tung flower season when the valley is covered in blooming tung flowers, resembling a blanket of white snow on the mountains, which is incredibly beautiful. "Enjoying the sunset and sea of clouds on the bicycle path, the scenery is breathtaking. It is very suitable for the whole family to come together, leisurely viewing flowers and enjoying fragrances along the Jiuhe Bicycle Path, spending a unique, healthy, and interesting weekend."
