Daxing Temple Introduction
Daxing Shan Temple was founded by Master Fuhui, whose life is filled with legendary tales. After entering the monastic life, she practiced various ascetic rituals such as silent meditation and the "no-fall" single practice. Even when teaching her disciples, she communicated through writing. Master Fuhui specialized in the Great Compassion Dharma, and the Great Compassion Water is renowned for its healing properties; those who sincerely pray can cure many ailments. The environment surrounding Daxing Shan Temple is tranquil, surrounded by lush bamboo and dense trees. Inside the temple, the statue of Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) is venerated. Although the temple is simple and unadorned, it attracts a large number of devotees from all over Taiwan, with long lines of vehicles during the holidays. On auspicious occasions for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the temple provides offerings of peace rice balls, peace noodles, and peace vegetarian dishes to share the joy of the Dharma with everyone.
