Daxing Temple Introduction
The founder of Daxing Temple is Master Fuhui, whose life is filled with legendary stories. After entering the monastic life, she practiced various ascetic disciplines such as the "indestructible monk" and silence, even communicating with her disciples through writing. Master Fuhui specialized in the Great Compassion Dharma, and the Great Compassion Water is renowned, believed to cure numerous ailments when earnestly requested. Daxing Temple is surrounded by tranquil environments, encircled by lush green bamboos and dense woods. Inside the temple, the statue of Avalokitesvara (Guanyin) is enshrined. Although the temple is simple and unadorned, it attracts a large number of devotees from all over Taiwan, with vehicles lining up for incense offerings on weekends. During Buddha's and Bodhisattva's birthdays, the temple welcomes everyone back by serving peaceful glutinous rice balls, peaceful noodles, and peaceful vegetarian rice for all to share in the joy of Dharma.
