Jinlong Kiln Introduction
Jinlong Kiln originated from traditional pottery, primarily producing items such as wine jars, water tanks, flower pots, and daily ceramic wares. It has been established for more than twenty years. In its early days, Mr. Li Yiwu came from Fuzhou to Taiwan to start the business, which was later taken over by the second generation, brothers Li Mingzui, Li Zhaoqing, and Li Zhaochun, and has now transitioned to the third generation, brothers Li Jinming and Li Rongguo. They still adhere to tradition, with hand-throwing and shaping as their main products. In the 1960s, the decorative ceramic industry began to rise, virtually replacing traditional pottery. In recent years, the impact of industrial transformation has made it increasingly difficult for traditional pottery to find a place in the market. In pursuit of sustainable operation of their family business, Jinlong Kiln, which started with traditional water tanks and wine jars, has now transformed to create modern and appealing lotus flower jars and has incorporated unique Hakka design elements into tableware and beautiful ceramic lamps. In this beautiful garden located in the mountains, visitors can experience the joy of working with clay firsthand, learning about the traditional pottery-making process through hand-throwing or hand-sculpting, and create a unique piece of ceramic artwork.
