Peng Cheng Liu Clan Ancestral Hall Introduction
Located in front of Ruihu Elementary School in Sihu Village, this shrine primarily honors the founding ancestor En Kuan Gong who came to Taiwan, along with the ancestral deities, and also worships Guanyin Bodhisattva and the God of Wealth. The Liu Clan Ancestral Hall was first established in the 25th year of the Qianlong reign (1760), making it 235 years old. The ancestral hall occupies a vast area, with the Xihu River alluvial plain in front and rolling emerald hills behind, presenting an impressive view. The hall is designed in the traditional "Sanhe" courtyard style, covered with green glazed tiles and featuring a swallowtail ridge. Although it lacks intricate carvings, its simplicity and elegance reveal the serene and peaceful style of the Hakka people.
