Peng Cheng Liu Clan Ancestral Hall Introduction

Located in front of Ruihu Elementary School in Sihu Village, this shrine is dedicated to the founding ancestor En-Kuan Gong, as well as the ancestral spirits of the clan, and it also enshrines Guanyin Buddha and the Earth God. The Liu Clan Ancestral Hall was initially built in the 25th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1760), making it 235 years old. The ancestral hall is spacious, with the West Lake River alluvial plain in front and lush mountains in the back, creating a grand atmosphere. The hall is designed in the traditional Sanheyuan style, covered in green glazed tiles with a swallow-tail ridge. Although it lacks intricate carvings and decorations, it reveals the simple and elegant style of the Hakka people through its modesty and tranquility.
