Maozai Pu Qingqian Temple Introduction
"Qingqiandi" is located in Maocai Pu, Wuhu Village, Xihu Township, on the north side of "Miao 119" highway. It is the ancestral home of Mr. Zhang Qingxiu, the ninth township head of Xihu Township. "Qingqiandi" was initially built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of over a hundred years, with several renovations, the most recent one around 1954. From the outside, it appears to be a spacious brick three-house compound, but upon closer inspection, its layout, beams, columns, and altar display a unique style that distinguishes it from typical traditional Hakka houses. The entire structure is in the shape of the character "Chang," symbolizing the prosperity and flourishing of the family, divided into a main hall, left and right wings, and two courtyards. Above the main entrance of the hall are the three large characters "Qingqiandi," flanked by two antique-style stone pillars. The bracket sets and crossbeams on the pillars are intricately carved, exuding an antique charm. "Qingqiandi" features a magnificent layout, surrounded by lush greenery and bamboo, creating an elegant ambiance that easily evokes feelings of nostalgia for the past, making it a truly worthy heritage site.
