Dreamy Tung Blossom Trail Introduction
Located next to the Mingde Reservoir, the Tung Flower Trail features an entrance shrouded in lush green bamboo and a nearby flowing creek, giving it a unique atmosphere. Once you pass through the bamboo forest path, a snow-like scene of blooming white flowers appears, as if mountain spirits are fluttering down. This area is not crowded, allowing visitors to enjoy the elegance of flower viewing. For those driving: Take the Holo Interchange on National Freeway No. 3 and head right to Route 6. After the pedestrian bridge, turn right and continue straight to connect with the east-west National Highway No. 72, then onto the Holo-Wenshui Expressway (East-West Route No. 72). At the Houdu Interchange, turn onto Route 13 towards Mingde Reservoir (Jianfeng Road). At 24 kilometers, turn right onto Miao 22 Line (look for the yellow sign of Jishi Temple), then turn onto Mingfeng Mountain Road. The entrance to the dreamy Tung Flower Trail is located 5.5 kilometers down this road. Public transport: Take the trains to Miaoli Station and catch the Miaoli Bus routes 5801 or 5802 to Mingfeng Entrance Station, which is about 5.5 kilometers from the Tung Flower Trail.
