Dreamy Tung Flower Trail Introduction
The Hualien Blossom Trail, located next to the Mingde Reservoir, is characterized by its entrance through a lush bamboo forest, alongside a small stream. This setting gives the trail a unique charm. After passing through the bamboo path, a scene reminiscent of a snow landscape formed by blooming white flowers appears, making it seem as if forest sprites are gently falling from the mountains. This area is not heavily visited, allowing for a refined flower appreciation experience. By car: Take National Highway 3 and exit at Houlong Interchange, then turn right onto Taiwan Highway 6 towards the pedestrian overpass. Continue straight to the National Highway 72 east-west expressway to connect with the Houlong Wenshui Expressway (East-West Expressway No. 72), then take the Touhu Interchange and turn onto Taiwan Highway 13 towards Mingde Reservoir (Jianfeng Road). At the 24-kilometer mark, take the Miaoli County Road 22 (look for the yellow sign of Jishigong) and turn right onto Mingfeng Mountain Road. The entrance to the Dreamy Tung Flower Trail is 5.5 kilometers ahead. Public transportation: From Miaoli Train Station, take the Miaoli Bus 5801 or 5802 to Mingfeng Entrance Station, which is about 5.5 kilometers from the Tung Flower Trail.
