Dreamy Tung Flower Trail Introduction
The cherry blossom trail located next to the Mingde Reservoir features an entrance surrounded by lush green bamboo groves, with a small stream flowing nearby, giving the Tung Flower Trail its unique charm. Once you pass through the bamboo path, a scene of snow-like flowers appears, as the blooming white blossoms seem to flutter down like forest sprites. This place is not very crowded, allowing visitors to enjoy their flower viewing in peace. Driving directions: Take National Highway 3 and exit at Houlong Interchange, turn right onto Taiwan Route 6 to the pedestrian bridge, then go straight and turn onto National Highway 72 (East-West Expressway). Connect to the Houlong Wenshui Expressway (72 East-West Expressway), exit at the Houwu Interchange, and turn onto Taiwan Route 13 towards Mingde Reservoir (Jianfeng Road). At the 24-kilometer mark, turn onto Miaoli Route 22 (when you see the yellow sign for Jishigong), then turn into Mingfeng Mountain Road. The entrance to the Dreamy Tung Flower Trail is 5.5 kilometers ahead. Public transportation: Take the train to Miaoli Station and then take the Miaoli Bus routes 5801 or 5802 to the Mingfeng Entrance Station, which is about 5.5 kilometers from the Tung Flower Trail.
