Shitan Township Cultural Center Introduction
The Shitan Cultural Center was originally the old site of the Shitan Township Office. After the township office moved, it became an idle space. In 2003, the government promoted the "Idle Space Reuse" and "Local Cultural Center Plan" to provide a venue for local residents to engage in arts and cultural activities. In response to these two plans, the township office applied for the establishment of the cultural center at the old office site. Its location in the center of Xindian Village offers excellent accessibility, making it very convenient for residents who wish to enjoy cultural events. This has also increased the usage rate of the cultural center, making it an important building on Xindian Old Street. The renovated cultural center covers an area of 500 square meters and has three floors. The first floor includes a children's reading room, a digital center, and a gym. The second floor consists of a conference room, a leisure room, and an area for old photo exhibitions. The third floor is designated for a presentation room and a sports room, making it a great place for local residents to engage in leisure activities, reading, and fitness during their free time. Additionally, the cultural center periodically collaborates with professionals to offer courses in bamboo carving, straw weaving, and paper-making, providing the public the opportunity to connect with these ancient crafts.
