Lukang Aimen Introduction

The remaining gate in Anping County is a historic site, where every street corner in the past had a gate. Today, only one remains, located in a small alley named Houchaxiang, behind Zhongshan Road. This solitary gate was built in the 10th year of the Daoguang era, which corresponds to 1830 AD. It stands about 10 feet high and 8 feet wide, with the inscription "The Gate Welcomes the Late Carriage." Having withstood the test of time, it collapsed in the 68th year of the Republic of China and has since been restored.
