意樓的小故事據傳樓中居住女子名為尹娘，方其新婚燕爾，夫婿為求功名，暫拋美眷赴試。臨行前，夫婿為解尹娘思念之苦，於意樓牆邊種一楊桃樹，並囑曰：「見樹如見人，吾試畢即返」。無奈夫婿一去音訊全無，尹娘仍苦守樓中，盼望伊人回來，終致抑鬱而終。

Yilou Introduction

The "Seeing Trees as Seeing People" Pavilion is a small loft situated in the Qingchang Ancient House, featuring a starfruit tree planted by its wall, which embodies a poignant love story.

The ancient round window of Yilou represents completeness, with its pattern composed of alternating gourds and ancient coins: the gourd sounds like "fortune," symbolizing the wish for happiness, while the ancient coin symbolizes the desire for wealth. The interplay of gourds and ancient coins creates a striking classical beauty.
