Longting Old Trail Introduction
The ancient path, known as the Tiao Yan Ancient Road, once served as a vital route for trade between Yuanlin and Nantou. It is constructed with local stones, preserving the old flavor of the trail. The total length of the trail is approximately 1.7 kilometers. It features a gently ascending shaded pathway, with only a short section consisting of steep steps. Along the way, one can closely admire fruit trees such as star fruit and lychee, as well as the low-altitude broadleaf forest landscape. The trail has diverse extension routes that connect to nearby temples, including Ci Hui Temple, Guang Tian Temple, and Yu Yi Temple, which provide parking space, drinking water, and other amenities (subject to change due to pandemic impacts), making it very suitable for leisure hiking.
