Eighteen Buddha Path Introduction
The Shih-Teen Guanyin Trail, formerly known as the Bagua Mountain Shih-Teen Lia Guanyin Trail, is located between Dafeng Lane and Qilin Lane in Yuanlin City. It can be accessed from Dazhange Road (Route 139) and leads to the ancient water-fetching trail in Fenyi Township, serving as one of the ancient trade routes for agricultural products between Changhua and Nantou. The trail is approximately 1.54 kilometers long and currently features steps, wooden walkways, rest platforms, and benches. Along the way, visitors can see various types of plants, surrounded by dense shade and the sounds of insects and birds. During the Japanese colonial period, it was a forest path used by ancestors for fruit picking, and it is also a path that local mountain residents take to welcome deities. In April and May each year, white tung flowers can be seen blooming around the trail. Trail length: 1.54 kilometers. Walking time: 0.6 hours. Facilities: signboards, information boards, benches.
Butterflies can often be seen fluttering along both sides of the trail.
The front section of the trail has a wooden ladder truss.
