Sun Moon Lake Qinglong Mountain Trail Introduction
The Qinglong Mountain Range and Lalu Island, which symbolizes the Dragon Pearl, are steeped in many legendary tales. The trail begins at the Xuanguang Temple Pier and ends at the Ci'en Pagoda, gradually ascending along the ridge with beautiful scenery. The square in front of Xuanguang Temple offers an excellent view, overlooking Lalu Island, the Hanbi Peninsula, and the Shui She Settlement. Along the trail, there are moss sculptures designed to utilize the high temperature and humidity characteristics of Sun Moon Lake, such as the Mountain Gate, Little Novice, Sutra, and Heart Sutra planting plate. In the Xuanguang Temple Square, there is a statue of Master Xuanzang, commemorating his arduous journey to seek the scriptures in the West.
