Sun Moon Lake Tsu Tsing Trail Introduction

Tuotingzi used to be the site of the Shau tribe's Stone Print Society, and it is now a traditional worship site for the Shi clan. The trail is therefore themed with the Shau tribe's auspicious symbol - the owl. Walking south from Sun Moon Village for four kilometers, you will reach a pavilion located at the junction of Shaba Mountain and Qiatong Lun, where you can see the owl statue marking the entrance. The elevated wooden walkway is designed to protect the existing terrain and vegetation, featuring many explanatory signs along the way that provide insights into Shau tribe culture. At the end of the trail, there is an observation platform offering views of the distant mountains and waters to the south, north, and west.
