Sun Moon Lake Tsu Ting Trail Introduction
Tutingzai was once the site of the Shao people's stone print society, and now it serves as a place for the worship of the ancestors of the Shi clan, with a trail themed around the Shao people's auspicious symbol – the owl. Heading south from Sun Moon Village for four kilometers, you will reach a pavilion at the junction of Shaba Mountain and Qiatonglun, where the entrance featuring a standing owl statue can be seen. The elevated wooden boardwalk is built to protect the existing terrain and vegetation, with many explanatory signs along the way providing information about Shao culture. At the end of the trail, there is an observation tower where you can enjoy views of the distant mountains and nearby waters to the south, north, and west.
