Sun Moon Lake Tsu Tei Trail Introduction
Tutengzi was once the site of the Shao Tribe's Stone Printing Society, and it is now a place for ancestral worship for the Shih clan. The trail is therefore themed around the Shao Tribe's auspicious symbol - the owl. Traveling south from Sun Moon Village for four kilometers, one arrives at a pavilion located at the junction of Shaba Mountain and Qiatonglun, where the entrance features a statue of the owl. Elevated wooden walkways are constructed to preserve the existing terrain and vegetation, with many informational signs along the way providing explanations about Shao Tribe culture. At the end of the trail, an observation tower is set up to overlook the distant mountains and nearby waters to the south, north, and west.
