Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm Introduction
Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm is located in Chengde Village, Wanjian Township, Pingtung County, covering an area of approximately 50 hectares and situated at an altitude of around 100 meters. The farm is surrounded by mahogany and Leucaena leucocephala, and features ponds, lawns, and orchards, attracting many wild animals and showcasing a rich natural ecological environment. Visitors can enjoy stargazing, bird watching, and listening to the sounds of insects and frogs, creating unforgettable travel memories. The lush trees provide excellent habitats for various bird species. Observations have recorded over 160 plant species and more than 60 bird species at Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm, including common birds like the Black-naped Oriole, Little Bending-billed Robin, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Little Woodpecker, Red Dove, Five-colored Bird, Taiwanese Blue Pigeon, Crested Serpent Eagle, Black Kite, Purple Gallinule, Kingfisher, and White-bellied Yen. In winter, the Red-tailed Shrike may visit, and uniquely, the rare and protected birds of the Scarlet Minivet and the Yellow Oriole can also be found here. In Pingtung, Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology are the only places where the Yellow Oriole can be seen year-round. The leisure facilities at Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm include conservation areas, lychee orchards, ornamental plant areas, camping sites, and natural scenery such as forests, hills, and ponds, forming a picturesque setting beside mountains and water.
