Yingda Eco Leisure Farm Introduction
Yingda Eco Leisure Farm is located in Chengde Village, Wanluan Township, Pingtung County, covering an area of about 50 hectares and at an elevation of approximately 100 meters. The farm is surrounded by Mahogany and Acacia trees, and features built ponds, grass lawns, and orchards, attracting many wild animals to reside here, creating a rich natural ecosystem. Visitors can enjoy stargazing, birdwatching, and listening to the sounds of insects and frogs, ensuring a memorable travel experience. The lush trees provide the best perching site for birds; according to observations, there are over 160 plant species and more than 60 bird species recorded in Yingda Eco Leisure Farm. Common birds include the Black-naped Oriole, Little Forktail, Large-billed Crow, Little Woodpecker, Red Pigeon, Five-colored Bird, Spotted Dove, Black Kite, Purple Swamphen, Kingfisher, and White-bellied Waterhen. In winter, the Red-tailed Shrike can also be seen visiting. Notably, the rare and protected birds, the Scarlet Minivet and the Yellow Oriole, can particularly be found here—especially the Yellow Oriole, which is uniquely visible year-round at Yingda Eco Leisure Farm and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. The recreational facilities in Yingda Eco Leisure Farm include an ecological conservation area, lychee orchard, ornamental plant area, camping area, and scenic spots such as forests, hills, and ponds, creating a picturesque landscape framed by mountains and water, exuding tranquility and serenity.
