Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm Introduction
Yingda Eco Leisure Farm is located in Chengde Village, Wanluan Township, Pingtung County, covering an area of approximately 50 hectares at an elevation of around 100 meters. The farm is surrounded by plantations of mahogany and Leucaena leucocephala, and features ponds, grassy lawns, and an orchard, thus attracting a variety of wildlife and showcasing a rich natural ecosystem. Visitors can enjoy stargazing, birdwatching, and listening to the sounds of insects and frogs, all of which promise to create unforgettable travel memories. The lush forested area serves as an excellent habitat for birds. Observations indicate that there are over 160 species of plants and more than 60 species of birds, including common species such as the Black-naped Oriole, the Striated Weaver, the Common Redstart, the Great Hill Myna, the Eurasian Collared-Dove, the Five-coloured Chestnut-Breasted Malkoha, the Green-winged Pigeon, the Crested Serpent-Eagle, the Black Kite, the Purple Swamphen, the Kingfisher, and the White-bellied Waterhen. During winter, the Red-tailed Shrike can also be spotted. Particularly unique are the rare and protected birds, the Ruby-throated Orange and the Yellow Oriole, with the latter being visible year-round only at Yingda Eco Leisure Farm and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in the Pingtung area. The leisure facilities within Yingda Eco Leisure Farm include an ecological conservation area, lychee orchard, ornamental plant area, camping site, and scenic landscapes of forests, hills, and ponds, creating a serene and picturesque environment.
