Saikau Community Trail Introduction
The Saijia Trail is located behind Saijia Elementary School, with a total length of 2,100 meters leading to the Saijia Airport. While strolling along the Saijia Trail, you can often hear the calls of the majestic eagle and the crested serpent eagle soaring in the sky. If you're lucky, the conservation-class Taiwanese barbet may join in, making its deep nasal sounds. In the evening, you can even hear the calls of owls. At the entrance of the trail, Saijia Elementary School has established a butterfly ecological park, planting many host plants and nectar sources for butterflies. If you take a nighttime ecological tour, you can listen for the ticking sounds of the little rain frog, the turkey-like calls of the Mo's tree frog, the chirping of the Japanese tree frog, the sound made by the Laduhi's red frog mimicking humans using the bathroom, and the calls of the paddy field frog asking you for money. The collective calls of these different frog species create a lively and interesting atmosphere, resembling a pastoral symphony. It is recommended to spend about an hour relaxing and experiencing the leisurely ecological trail and the natural scenery along the way.
