Taoyuan Village Butterfly Valley Introduction
Taoyuan Village Butterfly Valley is located upstream of the Luming Creek and serves as a shared water source for Taoyuan Village and Luye Township. It was named for the multitude of butterflies that once filled the area, and it became a summer paradise for local tribespeople. However, environmental degradation has diminished its beauty. Thanks to local efforts and a restoration plan by Taitung County Government, Taoyuan Village Butterfly Valley has once again become an ecological paradise along the Luming Creek Valley. The seasonal ecological scenery of Taoyuan Village Butterfly Valley is distinctive throughout the year, with summer being the best time to visit. Visitors can step into the crystal-clear waters, listen to the melodious sounds of cicadas and birds, take photos with swarms of butterflies, and observe the rich flora and fauna of the area.
